Cheryl Laing

Cheryl Laing is a teacher at an inner city Melbourne school. She has been working in the teaching profession for 20 years across a variety of schools, both in Melbourne and London, UK.  

Cheryl is committed to developing effective and engaging relationships with her students so they can achieve to their highest abilities. She has a particularly strong passion for ensuring all children have access to excellent Literacy opportunities and experiences. She is a highly engaging educator and works closely with teachers through coaching, mentoring and team teaching to both improve the learning of students' and build the capacity of teachers.

Fiona Jackson

Fiona Jackson has taught all primary school levels and is based at two Melbourne primary schools as an independent education consultant. Fiona provides coaching and mentoring in classrooms and after school professional development in these schools. Fiona has travelled throughout Australia providing professional development in both literacy and Inquiry Learning. Teachers appreciate that Fiona's sessions are practical and aim to provide improved motivation and engagement for teachers and students alike. In addition to her training role Fiona is the co-author of eight comprehension resources. Fiona is passionate about encouraging students to be independent learners with a passion for reading great literature and asking lots of questions!

Gary Moller

 

Gary Moller is an enthusiastic and highly-experienced educator. He has an extensive background in primary education, and has held many educational leadership roles across areas such as Special Needs, Literacy and the general curriculum. He has worked in both the Catholic Education and Independent School systems and has had senior leadership roles in a number of schools, including Head of Primary School at a Victorian Independent ELC to Year 12 College.


Gary has worked as a Literacy Consultant in New York in both elementary and high schools. He is currently an Education Consultant, training teachers here in Australia and in Cambodia. Gary is also working with a community in Lesotho Africa to implement a levelled reading program. To ensure the program’s success, Gary developed a series of levelled readers based on the culture and lifestyle of the Lesotho children.
