Barbara HIll

Barbara Hill is a Literacy Consultant for Fountas & Pinnell.  She has more than 30 years of teaching experience from primary to college levels in New Zealand and Canada. Most of her classroom experience has been in the intermediate grades.  She spent many years in student support services working with learners who had difficulties or special needs, and collaborating with their teachers to maximise their progress. She later specialised in early literacy and for 12 years was a reading recovery teacher leader in Langley BC, Canada. After retiring from the public school system, she joined the Fountas & Pinnell consultant team and currently supports the implementation of their resources nationally and internationally through Pearson Education and Heinemann Publishing.
