Day 1: WISC V Basics
This training is appropriate for those learning about the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children, 5th Edition (WISC V) for the first time, psychologists requiring a refresher in cognitive assessment, and intern/provisional psychologist requiring access and training in this measure
This workshop program covers;
- An introduction to the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children, Fifth Edition (WISC-V)
- Administration
- Scoring
- Basic Interpretation
- An Introduction to digital scoring using Q-Global
Day 2: WISC V Clinical Use and Interpretation
This course will focus on the clinical use and interpretation of the WISC V ANZ in the clinical and educational context. Analysis of the primary and ancillary index scores will be reviewed. This will include analysis of the strengths and weaknesses at the subtest and index level, and the index level discrepancy analysis. The process oriented approach will be covered regarding analysis within a subtest. Special group clinical validity studies will be reviewed, as well as information regarding DSM 5 diagnostic criteria. Links to other assessments, such as the WIAT III, will be reviewed. Digital approaches to the WISC V, including Q Global and Q Interactive, will be introduced.

Prerequisites
Attendees must be registered test users with Pearson Clinical and currently hold either full registration as a psychologist, be an intern psychologist, or be a provisionally registered psychologist in training.
