David Shigrov is an Educator with 15 years’ experience, both as a classroom teacher and in leadership roles. He currently teaches Year 5 and holds the ICLT Lead Teacher role, in which he has developed multi-touch interactive learning texts, facilitated the adoption of a 1-to-1 device program, and has worked to develop the capacity of colleagues to implement effective ICLT teaching programs.

David is also a highly-skilled CLWB presenter, trained by CLWB founder, Mike Lloyd, to build knowledge and understanding of the latest trends in STEM learning. CLWB explores Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths through challenging, achievable and fun-filled learning strategies. 

David is the President of the Mathematical Association of South Australia and Councillor of the Australian Association of Mathematical Teachers. In 2012, he participated in the University of Pennsylvania Positive Education Conference, and was invited to present at the Positive Education School Association Conference 2014. In 2015, David completed his Master in Education in Leadership and Management through Queensland University of Technology.

David joined the team of Pearson Academy presenters in 2016, facilitating You Can Teach Coding workshops across Australia. He has recently authored the Pearson Mathematics: Developing algorithmic thinking and reasoning skills through a coding environment module, and is a member of the Pearson Mathematics presenter team.
