Donna Lannan has taught secondary Mathematics in metropolitan, regional and country schools for more than thirty years. While the main focus of her career has been teaching Mathematics, she has also held leadership positions in both pastoral care and curriculum roles.
Her experiences in the classroom have sparked strong interests in the teaching and learning process, and the learning needs of students. She currently contributes to the development and appraisal of mathematical learning resources that help teachers ensure that their differentiated classroom connects with the specific learning needs of all students. It is important to Donna that these resources draw on real-life and relevant examples, which reflect the experiences, interests and concerns of the learner, and that they highlight the benefits of using formative assessment to effectively foster student learning.
